I wonder if all the pressure I'm subjecting my brain to will make it into a metamorphic rock.
I am quite happy with the way today went. (: Not ideal of course, but probably the best it could get seeing how it is Promos after all, and not meant to be enjoyable.
When we got our paper one I was crossing my fingers for a human cloning question. Not that I feel passionately about it or anything, but because it was the only thing I could cram into my head yesterday. My eyes scanned the list and my heart crumbled when I read the energy source question): Because we all know only one science question would come out. Ahh, but I read further down the list and guess what question appeared! "Is fashion for the frivolous?" and something about whether you agree to it according to today's fashion industry. I beameddddddd when I read it. Because fashion is about the only topic I'd ever be able to write about without having to study the night before and because I imagined Nabil's reaction when he read the question. You see, just a few days before, he was saying oh how wonderful it would be if they asked a fashion question. And I was like oh what are the chances. I probably wouldn't write it anyway, thinking I would be fully prepared to write on other mm, boring science issues. Heh, shouldn't have doubted his superpowers. They always work better than mine anyway. ):
So YES! Today marks the day I first enjoyed writing a GP essay. And to be able to write from your heart, plucking examples you just "happened" to know instead of those you studied so hard to memorize the night before. Doesn't happen much to me, with my lack of general knowledge and all that shizz. Seeing how I don't write very nice essays, I don't expect to do extremely well. I did try to spam with as many examples to like heh overwhelm the markers and cloud them off my arguments... It was nice though, being able to enjoy writing what I was writing. (: Oh and there was this point in time I was stuck because I couldn't find a quote to prove my point in relation to how fashion is more than for the rich to flaunt because fashion can be cheap. But like I remembered how Anna Wintour and the rest of the world are all about the rich, famous and exclusivity. So I ended up inventing my own quote. Okay not really cus I might have remembered reading something of the likes. I quoted "famous local fashion blogger, Vogueite" (: Haha I should be forgvien though, because I already told him I quoted him. Haha the wonders of celebrity friends...
Compre ended up being about human cloning. So technically my cramming the night before didn't go to waste(:
So yeah, quite a pleasant way to kick start the not so pleasant promos. Here's to hoping the coming days go just as nicely, although it's highly unlikely. Yay good luck world! Off to do econs now):
xx
